Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Security Technician who implements, services, maintains, and repairs, or replaces as necessary, all security infrastructure including security access control panels, surveillance cameras, electronic locks, card readers, motion detectors, limit switches, all related control wiring, etc. The incumbent follows designs created by ISD management, acts as primary liaisons to outside contractors assigned to same project on site, maintains existing inventory for operation, maintains up to date knowledge on all security systems, and attends all trainings as deemed necessary. Technical School or Associate’s Degree in electronics with at least six months experience is required.

NOTE: This position is required to carry a department issued pager for response to 24-hour emergency service calls.
