Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker for Surplus Property, a division of the Department of Parking, Transportation, and Services (PTS).
The student worker will support several of the sustainability methods of recycling circuit boards, Freon, toner cartridges, metals, electronics, and various other properties. May assist with marketing, social media, outreach, research, program development, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Testing and evaluation of equipment sent to surplus.
Special projects as assigned, May be asked to assist in other areas as needed.

Job Requirements

Experience in any of the following are a plus, but not required:
Social media management or marketing
Data visualization
Customer service or retail
Sustainable benchmarking and reporting
Familiarity with recycling concepts such as redirecting material waste streams

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Hourly Pay Rate 8.25
