Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s department of Psychology is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Project Manager. This position involves working with the faculty supervisor, graduate students, and research staff on a series of research projects that will examine conflict resolution processes, such as predictors and consequences of apologies, empathy, forgiveness, revenge, and humility.

Primary responsibilities will include designing research studies, overseeing subject recruitment and screening, assisting with data management and analysis, assisting with administrative and writing tasks, and managing undergraduate research assistants. The employee will have independent research responsibilities and must be highly organized and motivated. A degree in Psychology or a related field and prior research experience are required. Familiarity with designing, running, and analyzing research studies is desired.
Some weekend and/or evening hours may be required to accommodate schedules of study participants.

Undergraduate degree in Psychology or related field. Two or more years working in a research lab as a research assistant and/or project manager is desired.
