The Undergraduate Mentor program is an opportunity for motivated University of Pittsburgh undergraduates to share their research and scholarly endeavors with the general student body, faculty members, and First Experiences in Research students. By mirroring the philosophies embodied by the O.U.R., interdisciplinary research opportunities and inclusion are emphasized by selected mentors who seek to use their expertise and experiences for the promotion and cultivation of research projects and activities.

Job Requirements

Some prior undergraduate research experience. We define this broadly. You may have acquired your experience in First Experiences in Research, through an academic year research award, through departmental research, or even through research on a voluntary basis. Undergraduate Mentors are compensated as student employees.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
