Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh’s department of Behavioral & Community Health Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator in the implementation of a NIH-funded study to assess the impact of Client-Centered Representative Payee services on antiretroviral adherence of marginalized people living with HIV/AIDS. Responsibilities of the Research Coordinator include assisting with the development of participant assessment tools; data collection, including programming tablets and preparing data transfer; data management and preliminary analyses; assisting with project logistics related to work flow; preparation of reports to NIH; and coordinating study team meetings. Additionally, the Research Coordinator will conduct qualitative interviews with study participants and providers of the intervention and will code and analyze qualitative data. This individual will also assist with manuscript preparation and presentations at scientific conferences. S/he will implement human subjects and IRB protections in the field and will work to ensure that staff job duties and performance comply with University of Pittsburgh personnel policies. Knowledge of Dedoose cross-platform application for mixed methods analysis, SPSS, and Excel is required.

Experience working with marginalized populations such as those living with HIV or who experience housing instability is preferred. Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills are required. Must be able to coordinate study functions, navigate university policies, and coordinate travel and presentations for study team. Excellent data management, analysis, and qualitative research skills.
