The Pitt News is looking for creative, artistic students to work as editorial illustrators.

Job Requirements

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker. Illustrators will create original artwork using any of a wide variety of media and techniques to communicate a story. Illustrators are responsible for roughly three pieces a week to accompany editorial content (news stories, columns, reviews, etc.). Illustrators should also be effective communicators who can brainstorm pieces with editors and meet deadlines. Graphic design experience is not required, as illustrators can either hand draw or digitally design their work.

Illustrators work flexible hours and must be present in the office for editorial/planning meetings, although they will also fulfill their assignments remotely

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
