The Pitt News is currently seeking students to work as reporters to write for the arts and entertainment section of the newspaper.

Job Requirements

This position is open only to registered students at the University of Pittsburgh’s main campus. Some experience is preferred but is not necessary. A writer will receive assignments from the A&E editor and must turn in those assignments on deadline. Editors will train all writers and guide them through the reporting and writing process. The time of work will vary from day to day depending upon the student’s availability and the news events that the editors choose to report.
The pay is per character in your article.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
