Job Summary

The University Center for Teaching & Learning is currently seeking one student media technician for the Open Lab in Classroom Services.
Candidate will be required to operate and maintain assorted 3D printers, VR gaming and computing equipment, and 360 video cameras and editing software in support of both course-related projects and open learning/experimentation. This position is responsible for maintenance of assorted materials, tools, and equipment related to Open Lab activities, as well as cleanliness and organization of the lab environment. Candidate will be expected to participate in training of other students and faculty on lab equipment and safety practices.

Job Requirements

Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with both students and faculty, and a desire to learn from and share knowledge with others. Prior experience with specified equipment is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important. Student must be able to lift 50lbs. and carry to locations on campus. Extensive training will be provided.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Hourly Pay Rate $7.25

During working hours between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm with special emphasis on hours from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
