The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a student worker. The Residence Life Hospital Liaison assists in the management of students in crisis when a hospital transport is needed. This includes communicating with students, University police, Residence Life staff, hospital staff, and parents. This person will be stationed at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where they will be assigned to all Pitt students who have been transported. They will provide care to the student, communicate with parents, and follow-through with Residence Life crisis protocol.

Job Requirements

Skills in communication, crisis response, organization required.

Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a Graduate program at the University of Pittsburgh is required.

Background in Residence Life, Student Affairs, Crisis Response, or Social Work is strongly preferred.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Hourly Pay Rate $10.00

Hours to be scheduled Friday and Saturday evenings 10:30pm-3:30am.
Typically, 3-6 weekends per semester.
