Position Details

The Division of Neonatology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC / University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting for Division Chief of Neonatology. The applicant should be a physician-scientist actively engaged in basic or clinical research with excellent clinical and teaching skills. In addition, he or she should have sufficient administrative experience to lead the division, working closely with the clinical director and hospital leadership. Candidates must possess an MD (or equivalent) degree and be board­ eligible/certified in neonatology.

The Division of Neonatology provides comprehensive neonatal and perinatal services to the tri­ state region and comprise 28 Neonatologists, and 12 Neonatology fellows along with over 50 physician extenders and a staff of 6. The Neonatology group provides services at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, UPMC Mercy, UPMC Horizon, and UPMC Hamot in Erie. The group also provides inpatient care for patients at non­ UPMC facilities, including the Children’s Home and Lemieux Family Center in Pittsburgh, Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Washington Hospital, and Wheeling Hospital. The Program is ranked ranked 8th in the US News and World report ranking for Neonatology programs. The clinical programs of the division are extremely strong and experiencing robust growth.
