Position Description

Manages and maintains a large portion of student information processing in admissions office. Enters applicant information into the office database, ApplyYourself and PeopleSoft, and the online filing system, ImageNow. Manages applications through all stages, applicant data, decision letters, acceptance packets, and tuition deposits. Assists with daily office operations. Responsible for clerical support segment of admissions recruitment system, which includes database consistency, special projects, and routine clerical duties. Admissions recruiting now involves an increasing amount of web-based activity, and this individual must be comfortable with on-line processing, email correspondence, and use of web-based resources. Individual has frequent telephone contact with students, parents, and secondary school personnel, and must exhibit a strong customer service orientation and excellent phone skills. Often works autonomously to keep student information processing activities running smoothly.

Education Required High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Related Experience Level Required 1-2 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

High school diploma; some amount of post-secondary education strongly preferred. Essential requirements include advanced clerical skills, high level word-processing proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with personal computers required.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
