Job Summary

The Child Welfare Education and Research Programs in the School of Social Work are looking for master’s-level student(s) to assist with several ongoing research and evaluation projects. Duties include conducting literature reviews, helping prepare reports, data collection and management, and assisting with writing grants to secure additional funding for other projects. Schedule is flexible and anticipated hours will be 8 to 15 hours per week.

Job Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required with an interest preferably in child welfare, mental health or related field. Clerical experience and computer skills using Word, Powerpoint and Excel are required. Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS or SAS is preferred. Must have excellent analytic, problem-solving and writing skills. Must be able to work independently with supervision from the Principal Investigators and research/evaluation staff.

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
