Position Description

The University of Pittsburgh Pediatrics department is seeking a Pre-Award Administrator.

The Pre-Award Research Administrator will be responsible for preparation and submission of all financial data related to the submission of grants and contracts. Specifically, preparation of grant and contract budgets following specific guidelines, for both laboratory and clinical trial applications; provide policy interpretation and procedure guidance to investigators and their staff; analyze budget justification for accuracy and thoroughness; and other pre-award activities as assigned. The Pre-Award Research Administrator will also be responsible for negotiating budgets for industry sponsored clinical trials. This position requires a well-organized individual who can multi-task, and who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s required in Business, accounting, finance or a related field but extensive experience may substitute for degree requirements. This position is located at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in Lawrenceville. TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
