Position Description

The Administrative Coordinator position is a regular, twelve-month position in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences in the Office of the Dean. The Administrative Coordinator will provide professional administrative support to the Dietrich School Dean and their executive leadership team. The Administrative Coordinator will manage office workflow, and develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and professional operation. Serves as the primary project manager on key and highly visible projects, including coordination of special events, the annual Board of Visitors meeting, the overall strategic planning process, and the shift to a paperless environment. Duties include high-quality writing and editing of complex reports and correspondence; coordinating the Arts and Sciences Council and Planning and Budgeting Committees; organizing faculty voting via electronic ballots and assisting with other administrative support. This individual will serve as backup for the Executive Administrator to the Dean and for the supervision of a team of student workers, and will provide general support to the Dean’s Office. Individual must be able to work independently and as a member of the diverse team of individuals in the Office of the Dean. The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely critical.

Prior responsibility managing highly visible projects and demonstrated exceptional communication skills are required. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of an associate’s degree.
