The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Research Coordination.The research coordinator will be responsible for submitting, maintaining, and tracking Institutional Review Board submissions for assigned clinical research studies related to wheelchair use and assistive technology. The incumbent will be responsible for regularly communicating with the design team/shop staff and for coordinating data collection activities for assigned research studies. These activities include subject recruitment, enrollment, scheduling study visits, administering informed consent and questionnaires, data entry and other miscellaneous tasks necessary to achieve the goals of the research studies. Other duties include training graduate students, ordering supplies, conducting internal audits, participating in community recruitment events and assisting with preparation for various events. Occasional travel may be required.
|Minimum Related Experience Level Required||1-2 years experience|
|Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position||
BS in health or rehabilitation engineering field preferred. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. IRB experience preferred.
|Child Protection Clearances||
The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
