Position Description

The Assistant Manager, Technical Services is primarily responsible for providing technical services support to evening and weekend events held in the William Pitt Union (WPU) and O’Hara Student Center (OSC). The Assistant Manager oversees delivery of agreed upon technical services provided by the student staff. Directs lighting and sound of theatrical productions. Recommends upgrades and replacement of equipment. Runs regular tests on technical equipment and recommends upgrades and repairs to the Manager. Supervises student employees in the absence of the Manager, Technical Services.

High School Diploma or equivalent degree required. College degree is desirable but not essential, formal technical training highly desirable. Must have 2-3 years proven hands-on experience in technical support services, familiarity with equipment maintenance, and supervisory experience.
