The University of Pittsburgh Counseling Center is seeking a qualified Staff Psychologist. The Staff Psychologist is responsible for providing direct clinical services to a diverse student body within the University’s Counseling Center, including assessment, individual, couples, and group counseling as well as crisis intervention. The incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of practicum students, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows. This position will also provide outreach and consultation to staff, faculty, parents, and students as needed and participate actively in staff, committee, and professional development activities.
Must be committed to and experienced in working with students of diverse backgrounds and a range of presenting concerns. Excellent communication and demonstrated supervisory skills are also highly important. A qualified applicant must have a PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program. The applicant must also be license eligible and have a Pennsylvania license within one year from date of employment.

PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program.
License eligible as Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at hire and licensed within 1 year.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
