The Clinical Administrative Coordinator carries out the administrative aspects of providing care to patients in the School’s Department of Prosthodontics. He/she functions as a liaison among patients, residents, faculty, clinic leadership and the School’s central business operations staff in a customer-focused, quality-conscious manner. His/her responsibilities include fielding patient inquiries, serving as receptionist for the clinic, entering or updating patient information in the electronic health record, providing information about anticipated treatment costs and payment requirements, documenting payment agreements, collecting payments and/or facilitating payment through Care Credit or Medical Bureau, recording, balancing and processing amounts collected through the central clinic business office, scheduling patients for screenings or recurring appointments with appropriate faculty and residents, and controlling patient flow between the waiting room and the clinic. He/she also serves as general receptionist and provides clerical support for the department, including correspondence, recording of student grades and maintaining files.

|Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position||
Baccalaureate degree preferred. Career training in dental/medical office skills or additional experience will be considered. Incumbent must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and flexibility. Front office experience in a dental or medical office and/or familiarity with dental insurance and treatment codes is highly desirable.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
