The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for compensation system administration, project management, data analysis, and consultation within the Office of Human Resources’ (OHR) Compensation Department. The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for the administration of all facets of the University’s staff classification system and HRIS system processes as related to compensation and the administration of job descriptions, salary analyses, and other compensation functions. This position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the compensation system continuously meets the needs of all stakeholders and is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and University policies and procedures.
The Senior Compensation Analyst plans, develops, and implements projects with University-wide scope and impact and serves as the primary point of contact and expert for compensation-related data analyses and reporting. The Incumbent acts as the lead for all compensation-related education and training plans, initiatives, and resources. This position is responsible for the cultivation and management of relationships and partnerships with senior officers and assigned clients in order to provide strategic consultation and guidance regarding compensation-related matters. Other duties include job and salary evaluation and analyses, salary survey administration, external bench marking, and providing other compensation-related support, as necessary.
|Minimum Related Experience Level Required||5-6 years experience|
|Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position||
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or other related field and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation is required; Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs and policies is required. Demonstrated experience in project management, policy/procedure development and implementation, and data analysis and reporting is required. Experience with HRIS and salary survey analysis strongly preferred. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple and diverse internal and external contacts is required.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or CCP certification is strongly preferred

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
