Position Details

The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated, creative and dedicated individual for a full-time, calendar year, non-tenure stream faculty position at the rank of instructor/assistant/associate/professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics. The successful applicant will actively contribute to patient care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the School of Pharmacy through innovation in the dynamic care of the oncology patient population. The faculty member will be expected to enhance patient centered outcomes in patient care areas at UPMC Magee by enhancing oncology pharmacotherapy management and potentially collaborate with other oncology services. Experience with protocol development and clinical research is preferred. Additionally, there will be an expectation to teach in the professional curriculum, including large and small classroom teaching with active learning techniques such as simulation based learning, standardized patients, and
problem based learning. The faculty member will also serve as a preceptor for students and residents. Development of i successful scholarship program with a focus in patient care and education is expected.
The ideal candidate will have a PharmD with a minimum of three years of experience in oncology; residency and/or fellowship training in oncology; board certification is highly desired. Other qualifications and experiences will be considered. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
