Position Details

The Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Department of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a, Assistant Professor on the tenure track. The ideal candidate for this position would be an MD or MD/PhD with subspecialty training in pediatric infectious diseases, who has completed additional basic research training. The candidate should have experience with mechanisms of respiratory microbial pathogenesis, lung immunobiology, and host response to respiratory infections and inflammation. The ideal candidate should have active NIH K-mechanism funding or be prepared to submit a K application. The candidate should have a record indicating strong potential for academic productivity and further extramural funding.

The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) is a 315-bed state-of-the-art hospital that opened in 2009. CHP serves a >2.6 million population catchment area in Western Pennsylvania.
