Position Description

This is an Annual Programs front-line gift officer position in the Office of Institutional Advancement. The incumbent’s responsibilities are focused on securing annual gifts from alumni and friends starting at the $2,500 level.

The Leadership Annual Giving Associate will be assigned a portfolio of prospects to qualify, solicit, and manage; work with colleagues across Development and Alumni Relations to develop and implement strategies leading to signed gift agreements; coordinate and complete stewardship tasks in partnership with Donor Relations and Stewardship; and maintain accurate records in the Advance database system.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 2-3 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor’s degree required. Superior verbal and written skills. Must be able and willing to travel. At least two years in an Annual Giving program environment, with evidence of direct contact with annual giving donors, interaction with academic deans/department heads in a Development context, comfortable with the qualification approach as practiced at the University, and experience with stewardship techniques.
