Position Description

The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator will participate in all aspects of the planning and implementation of HIV/AIDS related clinical trials. This includes: management of study participants, collection of clinical data, review of medical records, and identification and reporting of adverse events. The nurse coordinator must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication with the investigators, members of the study team and study sponsors.

The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator will obtain and maintain required University, regulatory, and protocol training as well as maintain certifications/professional licensure.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required 2-3 years experience
Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

The individual must have a BSN or be a registered nurse with a BA or BS.
Professional nursing licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required and must be maintained by continuing education requirements.
Prior clinical research certification is preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Registered Nursing licensure required

Child Protection Clearances

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
