Position Details

The Department of Human Genetics in the Graduate School of Public Health seeks applicants for a non -tenure-track faculty position at the Research Assistant Professor level, to begin immediately. We seek an outstanding candidate whose research addresses the genetic epidemiology of complex phenotypes. Appointment at the Research Assistant Professor level requires a doctoral degree with training in genetic epidemiology/statistical genetics, including application of methods in genome-wide association studies, sequencing and bioinformatics. Appointees at this level will be expected to develop a vigorous research program and to participate in mentoring. Documentation of strong skills and potential in research and mentoring is required. The faculty member will be part of the large community of statistical geneticists within the Department of Human Genetics and the University of Pittsburgh, with many opportunities for collaboration and interaction.
Salary will be determined by the candidate’s credentials.
